About the position

The Senior Solution Architect in Network Engineering and Cyber Security at West Pharma is responsible for collaborating with the network engineering and security teams to define, deliver, and support business solutions. This role focuses on designing and implementing technical solutions for network, cloud, and security, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures. The architect will oversee project delivery, system enhancements, and production support, playing a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of the organization's network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical knowledge to identify flaws and weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
• Conduct security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and remediation initiatives in collaboration with Infrastructure and Application teams.
• Support the delivery of Next Generation WAN/LAN architecture across the enterprise.
• Configure, implement, document, and manage security tools including Network Security, Cloud Security, and End-Point Security.
• Support automated and manual vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, collaborating on remediation efforts.
• Work with SOC/NOC Operation Center to meet key performance indicators and mitigate threats/vulnerabilities.
• Assist in network hardening guidelines and assessments for gaps.
• Install and configure Network and Security equipment.
• Monitor computer systems to improve network performance.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to employees and management.
• Assist in implementing disaster recovery procedures and test plans.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Replace faulty network hardware components as needed.
• Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and processes.
• Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in the Change Control process.
• Comply with all regulations, policies, and safety rules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 8-15 years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in security products including firewalls, URL filtering, and virus protection.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure Network and Security SD WAN, Routing and Switching, and Cyber Security.
• Commercial acumen to provide cost-effective security solutions.
• Enthusiasm for staying updated on security threats and solutions.
• Ability to translate complex IT matters to non-IT personnel.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Network.
• Good knowledge of networking, switches, routers, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, SIP, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Express Route and other software-defined network objects in Azure.
• Experience with Cisco Networking equipment and Fortinet SD-WAN.
