About the position

The Senior Solution Engineer at Dynatrace plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and demonstrating the value of Dynatrace's observability solutions. This position involves executing product demonstrations, managing proof of concepts (POCs), and building relationships with customers to address their technical needs. The role requires collaboration with various teams and a strong understanding of application performance management technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Dynatrace's product offerings during international trade shows and key customer meetings.
  • Partner with sales representatives to identify new and incremental sales opportunities.
  • Participate in proof of concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions.
  • Present Dynatrace's vision to C-suite executives of customers.
  • Provide technical guidance during the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the sales cycle.
  • Deliver on-stage demonstrations at marketing events and ensure key demonstrations are executed effectively.
  • Gather and provide customer feedback to Product Management to enhance market share.
  • Build best practices and share knowledge within the team to improve capabilities.
  • Work with local Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to identify learning and development opportunities.
  • Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations to meet customer demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience.
  • 3+ years of experience within the observability space.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with programming/scripting technologies such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (OS) including Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with modern technologies like containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform.
