About the position

The Senior Solutions Architect (AWS) position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on leveraging AWS cloud technologies and Document Management systems to deliver innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in solutioning with AWS cloud services, including but not limited to Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, Glacier, OpenSearch, EventBridge, Appsync, and Step Functions. This role requires a strong understanding of microservices architecture and design experience in RESTful services and API development. The candidate will be responsible for performing technical planning and architecture, providing day-to-day technical leadership across various tracks such as Front End, API Development, and Content Migration Support. In addition to technical expertise, the Senior Solutions Architect will enforce standards and best practices in coding, security, and industry compliance, including OWASP issues and resolutions. The role also involves assessing the technical feasibility of business requirements, utilizing estimation techniques, and staying updated with the latest technology trends. The candidate will participate in organizational activities such as establishing centers of excellence, evaluating new technologies, contributing to accelerators and reusable components, and producing technical papers and training materials. The position requires a collaborative mindset, as the candidate will work in an Agile SCRUM environment, leading multiple teams with diverse backgrounds. Strong behavioral skills are essential, including the ability to mentor and coach team members, manage resources effectively, and engage in business development activities such as pre-sales, RFP proposals, and client presentations. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of financial aspects related to IT services, including NPV, Cost Benefit Analysis, TCO, ROI, and payback periods. A strong grounding in product development and management challenges in both product-based and service-based companies is also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning and architecture for AWS cloud solutions.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership across various tracks including Front End, API Development, and Content Migration Support.
• Enforce coding standards, industry best practices, and security best practices.
• Assess technical feasibility of business requirements and utilize estimation techniques.
• Participate in organizational activities such as establishing centers of excellence and evaluating new technologies.
• Contribute to accelerators and reusable components, and produce technical papers and training materials.
• Review existing system architecture and recommend improvements.
• Implement CI/CD practices and ensure good knowledge of DevOps.
• Mentor and coach team members, managing resources effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solutioning with AWS cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding and architectural experience with Microservices.
• Design experience in RESTful services and API development.
• Experience with SOA principles, design patterns, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Mulesoft integration, Java/Spring Boot, and NodeJS.
• Ability to work in a collaborative development environment following Agile SCRUM.
• Strong fundamentals in finance, marketing, and management.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
