About the position

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team is dedicated to partnering with customers to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted customer advocate, helping organizations understand best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions and advising them on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud. Your role will involve driving successful business outcomes across a diverse set of enterprise customers, fueled by your passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions. In this position, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute strategies that promote deep adoption and broad use of AWS within your enterprise customers. This will involve mobilizing resources within AWS and collaborating with our extensive partner network to ensure that customers can leverage AWS services effectively. You will work closely with AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) to drive revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including those in the public sector. The AWS Global Support team believes that world-class support is critical to customer success, and you will be part of a team that interacts with leading companies building mission-critical applications on AWS services. Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers to design and build scalable cloud architectures and solutions.
  • Advise organizations on best practices for migrating workloads to the cloud.
  • Drive successful business outcomes for enterprise customers through education and training.
  • Shape and execute strategies for deep adoption of AWS services within enterprise customers.
  • Mobilize resources within AWS and collaborate with partners to address customer needs.
  • Work closely with AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services to drive revenue and growth.
  • Provide world-class support to customers building mission-critical applications on AWS.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
  • Strong communication skills across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry.
