About the position

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the Strategic Accounts segment, you will partner with key customers to design and implement cloud architectures using AWS services. Your role will involve addressing business challenges, influencing product direction, and driving the adoption of AWS solutions to enhance customer innovation and market reach. You will engage with various stakeholders, including product owners and executive management, to ensure successful cloud migrations and scalable applications, while also enhancing your own expertise in cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services.
• Help customers solve business challenges and accelerate innovation.
• Engage with product owners to influence product direction.
• Drive usage and adoption of AWS across specific customer accounts.
• Act as a trusted advocate for customers in understanding and implementing cloud solutions.
• Shape and execute strategies to build knowledge and broad use of AWS services.
• Communicate and collaborate with other AWS teams, including services, marketing, and professional services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience developing technology solutions and guiding IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• 5+ years of experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives.
• 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect or similar cloud certification.
• Professional experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and manage ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills.
