About the position

The Senior Solutions Architect for Telco & Media at AWS is a highly technical and customer-facing role focused on partnering with large enterprise, telecom, and media customers. The position involves understanding customer business drivers, assessing technology needs, and designing scalable cloud architectures on AWS. The architect will act as a trusted advisor, educating customers on AWS best practices, driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, and contributing to the development of customer-facing content.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their business drivers and technology needs.
• Design reliable, cost-effective, and scalable cloud architectures on AWS.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS through training sessions and architectural discussions.
• Drive revenue growth by formulating and executing sales strategies in partnership with the AWS Sales team.
• Capture and share best practice knowledge across AWS, including authoring customer-facing content like whitepapers and blog posts.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical leaders to enable them as cloud advocates within their companies.
• Collaborate across AWS teams to drive and shape new solutions for repeatable customer business outcomes.
• Assist partners in designing and implementing large-scale network transformation programs and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience working with Machine Learning and Data Science communities.
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS ML technologies.
• AWS certifications.
• Experience writing and publishing technical whitepapers or patents.
