About the position

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer, Public Sector to join our team. Procore's Public Sector team includes both SLED and Healthcare. In this role, you'll supplement product demonstrations with technical knowledge of cloud-based software and Procore platform expertise. You'll serve as the expert voice and resource to support our Account Executives throughout the sales process. This includes participating in technical demonstrations, answering and spearheading the technical aspects of RFPs, and positioning Procore as the leading construction software solution to prospects. Solutions Engineers work in a highly collaborative and rapidly growing sales organization. This position will report to our Public Sector Solutions Engineer Manager and could be based in our New York, Tampa, or Austin office, or remotely. We're looking for someone to join us immediately. In this role, you will own pre-sales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration, close and hand-off. You will lead discovery sessions and effectively map complicated integrations into partner applications. Additionally, you will orchestrate complex presentations that apply to end users and executives, working closely with the Sales team to close new business and build relationships with current customers by addressing prospects' technical challenges. You will demonstrate immersion and mastery of Procore's product offerings, business model, services, and emerging technologies. Collaboration with all levels of the Procore organization will be essential to develop best practices and connect prospects and clients with Product Managers and Marketing to further client success and Procore's evolution as a market leader. You will also partner with sales leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans and represent Procore at industry events and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Own pre-sales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration, close and hand-off
  • Lead discovery sessions and effectively map complicated integrations into partner applications
  • Orchestrate complex presentations that apply to end users and executives
  • Work with the Sales team to close new business and build relationships with current customers by addressing prospects' technical challenges
  • Demonstrate immersion and mastery of Procore's product offerings, business model, services, and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with all levels of the Procore organization to develop best practices, connect prospects and clients with Product Managers and Marketing to further client success and Procore's evolution as a market leader
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans
  • Travel to and represent Procore at Industry events and conferences

Requirements

  • 8+ years Experience in Project Management or Project Engineer roles within the Public Sector and/or Healthcare including Construction Manager or Project Manager
  • 5+ years experience in technical B2B sales, SaaS preferred; 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer for complex SaaS technology solutions
  • Proven history of Solutions Excellence through a thorough approach to Solutions Design and Orchestration
  • Understanding and or strong interest of developing a working knowledge of enterprise technology environments including storage, database, data warehousing, data integration, data analytics, and security

Nice-to-haves

  • Procore platform users are highly preferred, but not required
  • Healthcare background is highly preferred, but not required
  • Public Sector or Healthcare background is highly preferred, but not required
