About the position

The Senior Sourcing Buyer for Indirect Media at General Mills is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive category strategies to meet business objectives. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance cost management and efficiency, ensuring a sustainable and competitive supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operating unit and sourcing business leads to advance strategic category strategies and long-range plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and suppliers to achieve cost management and efficiency goals.
  • Participate in the development of strategic sourcing plans that provide General Mills with a competitive advantage and deliver long-term consistent, sustainable, cost-effective supply.
  • Comply with corporate and regulatory policies and accounting practices.
  • Learn and leverage continuous improvement tools and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-5 years sourcing experience
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results
  • Contract negotiations, risk management, market analysis, economic analysis, financial analysis experience.
