The Senior Specialist, Biologics Development Lab Operations at Bristol Myers Squibb focuses on capital management and safety program support within the Biologics Development team. This role is essential for ensuring that the labs are prepared for new assets and involves coordinating safety activities across multiple sites. The position emphasizes collaboration with scientists to improve lab efficiency and safety, while also managing equipment and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with building and site management for effective communication and coordination.
• Coordinate general facility maintenance and safety tasks across multiple sites to maintain a clean and functional work environment.
• Collaborate with scientists to identify and address workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the lab.
• Stay informed of site safety procedures and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Develop and lead initiatives to increase safety awareness and commitment to environmental sustainability.
• Coordinate safety program initiatives and engagement activities.
• Perform routine lab safety inspections and participate in safety committee meetings.
• Collect safety data and compile reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support the development of capital project scope and user requirements.
• Communicate accomplishments and issues effectively and timely.
• Coordinate equipment transfers and oversee new equipment installation with relevant teams.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in life science or engineering and 3+ years in the biopharma industry, particularly in laboratory operations.
• Experience in facility management supporting biologics process development and tech transfer is desired.
• Project management skills are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
