About the position

The Senior Specialist, Employee Relations at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in managing employee relations issues, ensuring a positive work environment, and advising leaders on performance management and workplace conduct. This position involves designing standard operating procedures for conflict resolution, mediating disputes, and developing training programs for managers to enhance employee motivation and morale. The specialist will also represent the organization in negotiations and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve employee relations issues such as conflicts, disputes, and disciplinary matters with fairness and consistency.
  • Design standard operating protocols for investigations, cases, and mediations to improve employee motivation.
  • Advise leaders on performance management, feedback mechanisms, and workplace conduct to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to design organization-wide practices around employee, union, and work council relations issues.
  • Provide advisory and consultation services on technical matters related to investigations, mediations, and litigations.
  • Design company protocols for performance management systems, including evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop training programs for managers on employee relations subjects to achieve high employee motivation and morale.
  • Own delivery of employee relations special projects involving innovative solutions for complex problems.
  • Participate in the development of long-term plans for employee relations goals in line with the organization's strategy.
  • Consult with legal and compliance teams for effective responses to discrimination charges and complaints.
  • Design HR-specific communications and policies related to employee contracts and conduct.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and data related to employee relations matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience with a Master's degree or 8 years with a Bachelor's degree in Employee Relations or a related field.
