About the position

The Senior Specialist Human Resources Business Partner at L3Harris is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, particularly within the Undersea Systems division. This role focuses on enhancing workforce utilization, addressing employee relations, and fostering positive labor relations while supporting the Site Program Management Director and Operations client group. The position requires a solution-focused mindset to resolve issues and improve processes, ensuring a positive work environment and compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

  • Align HR strategies with business objectives of L3Harris and the Undersea Systems division.
  • Manage labor relations, including grievance management and contract administration.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, providing guidance and recommendations.
  • Lead strategic workforce staffing and talent development initiatives.
  • Support the performance management process to drive high performance and employee development.
  • Partner to implement organizational change initiatives and facilitate communication.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and measure effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to deliver solutions that support strategic goals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience in HR.
  • Strong understanding of labor law legislation, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
  • Ability to influence and problem-solve in compensation, employee and labor relations, and talent management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree and/or SHRM or PHR/SPHR certification.
  • Experience with organizational development and change strategies.
  • Hands-on experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
