About the position

The Senior Specialist - Information Risk Management is a pivotal role within the Technology & Risk Services team at Allianz Services. This position is designed for an individual who can provide subject matter expertise and operational support concerning the security assurance delivered to Allianz operating entities. The incumbent will play a crucial role in proactively steering initiatives within the service line, ensuring alignment with clients to meet business goals effectively. In this role, the Senior Specialist will analyze customer needs and develop innovative concepts to meet those expectations. The ability to manage a customer portfolio is essential, as is the capacity to influence and steer processes as required. The position demands that project deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines, necessitating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The Senior Specialist will work closely with clients during the security assurance process, providing advice during working sessions and reviewing and validating documentation and evidence provided. This includes preparing documentation and conducting progress reporting and tracking within the Allianz Services team and with clients. The role also involves contributing to the preparation of working papers, presentations, reports, and other correspondence to meet stakeholders' expectations. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will coordinate and deliver onboarding sessions for new joiners regarding the security assurance process. A critical aspect of the role is to review junior team members' work effectively, ensuring that all deliverables are relevant and meet the required standards. Ongoing troubleshooting, problem resolution, conflict management, and stakeholder management with client counterparts are also key responsibilities. The incumbent will advise clients in the area of information security management according to Allianz policies and industry-recommended practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer needs and develop innovative concepts to meet customers' expectations
  • Manage a customer portfolio, influence and steer the process as required

  • Work with clients during the security assurance process by advising during working sessions, reviewing and validating documentation and evidence provided
  • Prepare documentation and conduct progress reporting and tracking within the Allianz Services team and with clients
  • Contribute to the preparation of working papers, presentations, reports, and other correspondence to meet stakeholders' expectations
  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding sessions with new joiners regarding the security assurance process
  • Review junior team members' work effectively and ensure that deliverables are relevant and up to standard
  • Conduct ongoing troubleshooting, problem resolution, conflict management, and stakeholder management with client counterparts
  • Advise clients in the area of information security management according to Allianz policies and industry-recommended practices

Requirements

  • Degree in IT/Information Systems/Computer Science or relevant fields such as Cyber Security/Software Engineering; candidates without an IT background may be considered based on relevant experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with at least 5 years in relevant IT/IT Security work
  • Exposure to information risk management, IT Governance, IT operations, or Information Security work streams
  • Experience in designing and implementing risk, governance, and control frameworks; conducting risk assessments; testing business processes and internal controls
  • Experience working in a global setup
  • Familiarity with information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27k suite (27001, 27002), COBIT, or NIST CSF and ability to apply them in a working context
  • Ability to foster working relationships with clients and drive projects on a global scale
  • Experience in project management is appreciated
