About the position

The Senior Specialist, Integration/Test Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for supporting the test efforts for the development of ground-based mission systems and operations centers. This role involves defining complex test strategies, coordinating with various internal organizations and subcontractors, and serving as a point-of-contact for government customers regarding test planning and evaluation. The position requires strong communication skills, technical expertise in system integration and testing, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for full integration and testing of mission systems.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for government customers for test planning.
  • Execute all levels of testing including Integration, System, and Acceptance.
  • Configure and maintain production-like test environments.
  • Oversee subcontractors during integration and testing support.
  • Test and troubleshoot issues, documenting them in a bug tracking tool.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Maintain testing records and document/report discovered problems.
  • Advocate for test priorities in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning.
  • Collaborate closely with the software development team to analyze user stories and requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Lead test development and peer review activities with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to attain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration and testing processes.
  • Experience in Agile & DevOps methodology and culture.
  • Proficient in JIRA/Confluence or equivalent tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing MagicDraw.
  • Experience with software test automation tools, particularly EggPlant.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycle.
