About the position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Integration/Test Engineering to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is pivotal in supporting the test efforts for the development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations centers, from program inception through to test verification and deployment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment characterized by high expectations and diverse assignments, collaborating with a team of qualified and diverse individuals. As a Lead Integration & Test Engineer, you will be responsible for defining complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities. This involves working closely with multiple internal organizations and subcontractors to ensure the full integration and testing of the mission system. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the government customer regarding test planning, coordinating across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan. Your essential functions will include troubleshooting test failures based on inputs from the SEIT lead and test architect, completing specific test configuration details, developing test procedures, and implementing and checking out test sets and software. You will also support the direction of test activities, identify risks and opportunities, and work with system engineering and design teams to optimize test capabilities early in the development lifecycle. This role requires a willingness to work nights when necessary and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot failures of tests based on test plan inputs provided by the SEIT lead and test architect.
  • Complete specific test configuration details, test procedure development, implementation & checkout of STE, test sets & test set software checkout, and analysis tools evaluation.
  • Support the directing of test activities, including supporting shift planning.
  • Identify risks & opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Work with and influence system engineering & design on architecture(s) and interfaces to optimize & include test capabilities early in the development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with systems and design engineering to identify requirements that will satisfy testing requirements, as well as reuse options.
  • Evaluate/Define requirements (hardware & software) needed for verification of System level requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
