About the position

The Senior Specialist, Integration/Test Engineering position at L3Harris in Colorado Springs involves supporting the test efforts for the development of ground-based mission systems and operations centers. The role requires defining complex test strategies, troubleshooting test failures, and coordinating with various internal organizations and subcontractors. The engineer will serve as a point-of-contact for government customers regarding test planning and evaluation, ensuring mission capabilities are verified from inception to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot failures of tests based on test plan inputs provided by the SEIT lead and test architect.
  • Complete specific test configuration details, test procedure development, implementation & checkout of STE, test sets & test set software checkout, and analysis tools evaluation.
  • Support the directing of test activities, including supporting shift planning.
  • Identify risks & opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Work with and influence system engineering & design on architecture(s) and interfaces to optimize & include test capabilities early in the development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with systems and design engineering to identify STE/GSE requirements that will satisfy testing requirements, as well as reuse options.
  • Evaluate/Define STE requirements (hardware & software) needed for verification of System level requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or 10 years of systems/test experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret security clearance or Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in Agile & DevOps methodology.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
  • Comprehensive level knowledge of Electronic Warfare and System Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control.
  • Proficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent).
  • Experience in JAVA and C++ application SW testing.
  • Experience in Automation.
