About the position

The Senior Specialist - Payroll at Vistra is a full-time, permanent role based in Malaysia, reporting to the Operations Manager. This position offers regional coverage and is crucial for the growth of the Payroll department, focusing on accurate payroll processing and compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Input data into payroll system and maintain clients' staff and payroll information.
  • Provide full spectrum of payroll processing including payroll calculation, execution, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor and execute payroll activities according to the payroll processing schedule.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and disbursed to clients' employees in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory remittance.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Computer literate in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as a good team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet submission deadlines with minimal advice.
  • Ability to identify and demonstrate clear comprehension of customers and organizational needs.
  • Punctuality and confidence in facing challenges.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Familiarity with filing of statutory forms and Companies Acts.
  • Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or equivalent.
