About the position

The Senior Specialist, Program Finance at L3Harris is responsible for managing financial processes and deliverables for a cost-plus program in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves budgeting, earned value management (EVM), customer reporting, and collaboration with program management to ensure financial performance and compliance. The position requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the financial plan for assigned programs, including performing earned-value analysis and preparing customer reports.
• Provide financial cost controls and program controls support, including change management and risk management.
• Act as the subject matter expert for financial performance, identifying risks and offering solutions.
• Prepare accurate variance analyses with explanations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Program Management, FP&A, Accounting, and customers as the primary source of financial information.
• Prepare monthly forecasts for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, Cash, and Working Capital.
• Prepare proposals for new work and review cost proposal adequacy before submission.
• Perform ad-hoc requests from management and support internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficient financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with government contracting and EVM tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Deltek Cobra, Peoplesoft, ProPricer, and Hyperion.
• EV certification is a plus.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize workload.
