About the position
The Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for the hands-on development and integration of military systems, providing systems engineering leadership and technical expertise. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, managing individual projects from concept to production, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful product development.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering trade studies on existing product technologies
- Translate requirements into system design architecture by providing systems engineering guidance for multidisciplinary design teams
- Provide in-depth technical engineering analysis
- Research and write System Specifications for new systems
- Perform system build, integration, debugging and testing
- Support transition from prototype to production
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Experience with hardware/software systems integration and troubleshooting
- Experience communicating technical requirements to multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Experience with MatLab, Mathcad or other analysis tools
Nice-to-haves
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience designing military products considered a plus
