The Senior Specialty Solutions Engineer will focus on Network and Network Security solutions for AHEAD's prospects and customers, encompassing a wide range of technologies. As a member of the Specialty Solutions Engineering team, this role is pivotal in establishing AHEAD as a thought leader in the marketplace. The engineer will collaborate with multiple sales representatives to develop cohesive account strategies for existing and prospective clients, identifying potential technologies and vendors to partner with during campaigns. Time management and prioritization are essential for success in this role. The engineer will evolve into a technical thought leader for clients, defining strategies, comparing alternative approaches, and building key relationships. This position requires sizing and configuring products while leveraging subject matter experts and inside consultants to enhance effectiveness within accounts. AHEAD seeks candidates who identify as "Next Generation Network / Datacenter Architects," with a strong foundation in Cisco Route/Switch and/or DataCenter technologies. The role also emphasizes the importance of understanding cloud computing's impact on solutions, with experience or eagerness to learn about network and system design with cloud services like Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure being crucial. The Senior Specialty Solutions Engineer will lead and coordinate the AHEAD virtual team for Network Infrastructure, maintain vendor technical and sales relationships, and act as a thought leader within the Engineering organization. Responsibilities include supporting sales teams during engagements, developing relationships with account managers and partners, strategizing technical sales calls, completing pre-sales documentation, qualifying sales opportunities, and presenting proposed solutions to customers. Mentorship of entry-level team members is also a key aspect of this role, alongside possessing strong product and technology knowledge.
