About the position

The Senior Specialty Solutions Engineer at AHEAD focuses on Network and Network Security solutions for clients, acting as a thought leader in the marketplace. This role involves collaborating with sales representatives to develop account strategies, identifying technologies and vendors, and driving these strategies throughout campaigns. The position requires strong time management and prioritization skills, with the goal of becoming a technical thought leader for clients by defining strategies and building key relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the AHEAD virtual team for Network Infrastructure.
  • Maintain vendor technical and sales relationships with the AHEAD partner management team.
  • Design, architect, and consult for AHEAD clients as a Network Specialist.
  • Build skills, relationships, and industry credibility to drive product, services, and consulting sales.
  • Support sales teams by providing optimized advice and solutions during engagements.
  • Develop relationships with account managers, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
  • Strategize and execute technical sales calls.
  • Complete pre-sales documentation quickly and accurately.
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and decision-making processes.
  • Present and market the design and value of proposed solutions to customers and management.
  • Mentor entry-level team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP) are required.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus 9K, ACI, and other Cisco technologies.
  • Knowledge of IP Routing Protocols and Layer 2 protocols.
  • Experience with Network Security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, IPSec.
  • Pre Sales and Data Center experience is required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under critical conditions and influence others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with VMware / VMware NSX.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto, Arista, and Fortinet technologies.
  • Familiarity with automation skillsets and F5 / NetScaler.
  • Understanding of Amazon AWS, Azure, and cloud connectivity.
