About The Position
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator for a position supporting a large defense contractor. This position is on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA. The individual will join a team and contribute their expertise in maintaining SQL Server databases in a large enterprise setting. This role requires an active Secret clearance, at a minimum. The Senior SQL DBA will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining enterprise database systems with high availability. The role also involves monitoring SQL Server database backups and performing disaster recovery tests, troubleshooting database performance issues, and implementing fixes and solutions. Additionally, the Senior SQL DBA will establish and enforce database policies and standards, generate and modify database schema definitions, refresh data across environments, and maintain team documentation for processes.
