About the position

The Senior SQL Developer (Data Systems Analyst) is responsible for analyzing data, working with software, and learning new technologies to deliver quality solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and working within various systems while collaborating with experienced leads and business resources.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Write complex SQL queries and develop PL/SQL objects, including DML and DDL.
  • Perform database and SQL performance tuning to optimize system performance.
  • Utilize data modeling and visualization tools to present data effectively.
  • Implement ETL practices to manage data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex DML and coding errors in database systems.
  • Document system architecture using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex problems and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle databases.
  • Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and developing PL/SQL objects.
  • Proficient in data modeling and visualization tools, preferably Tableau or Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of ETL practices, preferably with Informatica or Pentaho.
  • Excellent understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with complex DML.
  • Expert level SQL querying and database manipulation with large data sets.
  • Familiarity with code repositories, ideally Git.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of relational database designs and database security.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of Integrated Eligibility experience, particularly with SNAP/TANF/Medicaid reporting.
  • Experience with Enterprise Workflow Management Tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Advanced understanding of data visualization technologies such as Tableau.
  • Oracle certification(s) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
  • Experience in web development using XML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
