About the position

ECS is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to support at NSWC Dahlgren, VA, on-site requirements a minimum of 4 days per week. In this role, you will be part of a team of experts dedicated to providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities, addressing the Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside software engineering and cyber security experts, tackling the pressing cyber defense issues faced by the modern military with innovative and creative solutions. The program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of various cyber threat scenarios. Additionally, the program support encompasses developing methodologies and frameworks to support the cyber risk assessment life cycle. As a Senior SQL Developer, you will be responsible for implementing new features within a critical line of business application that supports mission assurance and operational management functions. Your contributions will be vital in providing capabilities that support the customer with rapid design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features within a critical line of business application that supports mission assurance and operational management functions.
• Analyze operational requirements and conduct cyber analyses and assessments.
• Develop and perform modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios.
• Develop methodologies and frameworks to support the cyber risk assessment life cycle.
• Troubleshoot issues related to database servers including performance, connections, and server failures.
• Collaborate with a team of software engineering and cyber security experts to tackle cyber defense issues.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certificate.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree (or experience commensurate with the qualifications).
• Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
• Well-versed in the use of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• SQL Development with emphasis on Performance and Tuning.
• Minimum Seven (7) years' experience in Relational database design, Database administration, and/or Database server install and administration.
• Adept at troubleshooting issues related to database servers including performance, connections, server failures and more.
• Critical thinker and a team player.
• Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
