About the position

The Senior SQL Developer will play a crucial role in data analysis and software development, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions in collaboration with experienced leads and business resources. This position involves designing, implementing, and managing various data systems, with a strong emphasis on database proficiency and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex SQL queries and PL/SQL objects.
• Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
• Utilize data modeling and visualization tools to enhance data representation.
• Work with ETL practices to manage data flow and transformation.
• Collaborate with leads and business resources to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex DML and coding errors.
• Document system architecture using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Maintain and support database-driven reporting initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle databases.
• Expert-level SQL querying and database manipulation with large datasets.
• Strong experience with database and SQL performance tuning.
• Proficient in data modeling and visualization tools, preferably Tableau or Power BI.
• Working knowledge of ETL practices, ideally Informatica or Pentaho.
• Excellent understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with complex DML.
• Familiarity with code repositories, ideally Git.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Knowledge of relational database designs and ISDM methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of Integrated Eligibility experience, particularly with federal agencies.
• Experience with Enterprise Workflow Management Tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization technologies such as Tableau.
• Oracle certification(s) are a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
• Experience in XML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks for web development.
