As a Senior SQL / Power BI Analyst at Uline, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and a passion for numbers, as you will be responsible for publishing scheduled reports on key metrics and providing feedback based on data analysis. Your insights will help shape the strategic direction of the company, making your contributions vital to our growth and success. In this role, you will analyze company-wide operations, focusing on performance and productivity data, error rates, and root causes. You will create tools that empower Uline's warehouse locations to manage their operations more effectively, including developing Power BI dashboards and real-time reporting systems. Your ability to identify trends, document findings, and present performance improvement recommendations to Uline's President and management will be essential. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with various business units to gain a deep understanding of their processes, challenges, and strategies. This understanding will enable you to explain issues clearly and recommend effective solutions, ensuring that Uline continues to operate at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Publish scheduled reporting on key metrics, providing feedback and data-based insights to drive business decisions.
  • Analyze company-wide operations, including performance and productivity data, error rates, and root causes.
  • Create tools to better enable Uline's warehouse locations to manage operations, including Power BI dashboards and real-time reporting.
  • Identify trends, document findings, and present insight/performance improvement recommendations to Uline's President and management.
  • Collaborate with business units to gain in-depth understanding of processes, challenges, and strategies to explain issues and recommend solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in SQL and Power BI.
  • Highly adept in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
