About the position

The Sr Staff Cyber Software Tester at Northrop Grumman is responsible for testing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging applications that require logical and mathematical solutions. The position also includes conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure the effective utilization of electronic data processing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and will also perform research and requirements management in addition to software testing.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers.
• Develop and execute test procedures for software components.
• Perform research in addition to testing efforts.

Requirements

• A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Twenty years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of design, development, documenting, testing software and systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
• Experience developing and executing test procedures for software components.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Java programming language is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
• Ability to determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
