About the position

PARIKH Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering. The role involves conducting geotechnical field investigations, performing engineering analyses, and preparing technical reports under supervision. The ideal candidate should possess a BS in Civil Engineering, with a preference for those holding an MS in Geotechnical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations, including field drilling and site reconnaissance.
• Mark exploration locations and obtain required permits.
• Coordinate with vendors for field investigations.
• Review boring logs and prepare data in gINT.
• Perform engineering analyses based on available data.
• Prepare technical memoranda and reports under supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
• BS in Civil Engineering; MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Proficient in communication with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Flexibility in traveling to project sites and other offices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• A valid California driver's license.
• Experience with field drilling.
• General geotechnical engineering analysis experience, such as foundation design, liquefaction analysis, slope stability, settlement evaluation, retaining wall design, or pavement design is a plus.
