This is an opportunity for an experienced product designer to influence our design, product, and culture as an early member of the design team. Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, polished, delightful, and easy-to-use designs
• Help the team work more effectively while raising the quality bar for our user experience
• Set design strategy for the projects focusing on customer-based outcomes and the long-term vision of the product
• Help shape the visual direction of both the product and brand
• Design and communicate your vision to the team using mock-ups, documentation, and prototypes
• Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery
• Partner effectively across the org in order to help deliver a cohesive experience for our customers
• Contribute to and improve the design system
• Work closely with other designers on large and complex features
• Participate and shape the design team's culture
• Your designs are always evolving - seek impact over perfection
• Keep abreast of competitor products and trends; perform competitive and comparative analysis to understand existing patterns

Requirements

• An experienced product designer (5+ years) with a design portfolio showcasing the ability to design beautiful, powerful, and intuitive software
• Experience designing complex enterprise software, preferably within the observability or data analytics space
• Strong design craft with superb attention to detail and a desire to create pleasing experiences
• Independent and product-minded, able to take initiative and collaborate effectively
• Low ego with an eagerness to give and receive constructive feedback
• Excited about solving complex problems in a challenging data environment

Benefits

• Salary range of $166,000 - $230,000 a year, depending on experience and location
• Local role at San Mateo offices with an expectation of at least 3 days a week in-office for those living within 20 miles of San Mateo, including SF
