About the position
The Senior Staff Product Designer at Intuit plays a crucial role in enhancing the user experience for small businesses and self-employed individuals. This position involves leading design initiatives within the Go To Market Technology team, focusing on innovative design solutions that integrate cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI. The designer will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that balance customer needs with business goals, while also mentoring junior designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile.
- Create compelling visions and translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
- Rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes and test hypotheses with users using various methodologies.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align the team on design vision.
- Effectively communicate design approaches and demonstrate strong storytelling techniques to inspire the team.
- Coach and mentor junior designers in developing key hard and soft skills.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field; Master's preferred.
- Deep knowledge of design principles and methods.
- Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results.
- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
- Expertise in storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping.
- A dazzling online portfolio.
