About the position

The Senior Staff RF/mmWave Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of RF and mmWave products through comprehensive testing and validation processes. This role involves developing test plans, executing tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize testing methodologies and address technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test procedures based on RF/mmwave product specifications and requirements.
  • Designing and executing test setups using automated test equipment (ATE), probe stations, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools.
  • Programming and scripting in languages such as Python, C, or C++ to automate test processes and analyze test data.
  • Conducting thorough test validation and verification to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance (QA) teams to address technical issues and optimize testing processes.
  • Analyzing test results, identifying trends, troubleshooting issues, and generating detailed test reports and documentation.
  • Planning and overseeing the loadboard hardware development for RF & mmwave IC products.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in semiconductor testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing hardware and software at Wafer Sort and Final Test for RF & mmwave IC products.
  • Experience using Advantest 93k, MicroFlex testers.
  • Previous experience and product track record with high performance RFIC test development, especially on beamformer ICs.
  • Fundamental RF knowledge including main RF performance specifications such as Gain, Return loss, NF, P1dB, IP3, ACPR, EVM, etc.
  • Experience using I2C, I3C, and SPI protocol.
  • Understanding of procedures such as GR&R, HTOL, Characterization.
  • Self-starter, motivated, takes initiative, and able to work independently.
