About the position

As the Senior Staff Technical Product Manager at GE Aviation, you will oversee products in the Services Contract Financials category, including Clearview CMR and Customer Risk. Your role involves collaborating with product management teams to establish strategic directions, managing product backlogs, and ensuring seamless integration across various stakeholders. You will also mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge to gain a competitive edge.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders for requirements gathering and product feedback.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver complex products and features.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
  • Collaborate with UX, Architecture, and engineering teams on various issues and decisions.
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews to elaborate on personas.
  • Own the release and sprint backlogs, ensuring readiness for upcoming sprints.
  • Engage frequently with the development team to facilitate discussions and provide clarifications.
  • Translate ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to TPMs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or an associate degree with 8 years, or a high school diploma with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Product Management or Information Technology (IT).
  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options.
  • Knowledge of technical topics such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security.
  • Experience in supporting Financial systems, SOX compliance, and Data Analytics/reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within product management.
  • Familiarity with customer risk evaluation processes.
  • Experience with CMR reporting and booking simplification.
