About the position

As a Senior Statistical Programmer at ICON Clinical Research, you will play a crucial role in the analysis and reporting of clinical trial data. This position involves developing and validating SAS programs, collaborating with biostatisticians, and ensuring the accuracy of statistical outputs. You will also contribute to process improvements and assist in the preparation of reports and publications for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Developing and validating SAS programs for statistical analysis and reporting of clinical trial data.
• Collaborating with biostatisticians to define analysis plans and statistical methods to be applied to clinical data.
• Performing quality control checks on statistical outputs and ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
• Assisting in the preparation of statistical reports, presentations, and publications for regulatory submissions.
• Contributing to process improvements by identifying efficiencies in programming practices and methodologies.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, or related disciplines).
• 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech industry.
• Strong programming skills in SAS or R, and SQL, with proficiency in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries and statistical code for large datasets.
• Experience with Real-World Evidence (RWE) analysis, particularly in observational and retrospective studies.
• Hands-on experience with claims data, particularly from Optum, Marketscan, or similar large healthcare databases.
• Excellent communication skills.
