About the position

The Senior Statistical Project Leader (Director) at Sanofi will provide statistical leadership and strategic input for clinical studies within the Biostatistics Immunology & Inflammation team. This role involves developing innovative statistical solutions to support critical trial decision-making and advancing treatment across all phases of drug development. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and operational excellence, contributing to the overall success of clinical projects and impacting patients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert statistical and scientific contributions to clinical development plans, studies, and submissions activities.
  • Lead Biostatistics employees and contractors working on projects, establishing and monitoring priorities and areas for development.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage project activities, timelines, processes, and resources to ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop productive collaboration with other functions in the aligned project team and communicate with senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior project team members and nurture a culture of teamwork, quality, operational efficiency, and innovation.
  • Represent statistics in regulatory meetings and key scientific or technology working groups.

Requirements

  • PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 8 years of pharmaceutical experience in clinical development.
  • Excellent understanding of clinical development and advanced statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Proven experience in clinical development or post-marketing activities, including submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Expertise to represent organizations in cross-company activities.
