About the position

The Senior Strategic Policy Analyst at HII's Mission Technologies Division will provide critical analysis and support to the Strategy Branch Chief at USCENTCOM in Tampa, FL. This role involves developing political-military assessments, producing strategic documents, and analyzing national defense policies to inform senior military leaders. The analyst will also prepare briefings, assist in planning and executing meetings, and contribute to comprehensive planning for USCENTCOM strategies in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Provide Middle East Regional Analysis Support to the Strategy Branch Chief.
• Assist in the production of political-military assessments and supporting talking points for the USCENTCOM Commander and senior leaders.
• Develop information papers, memos, biographies, and other staff products in accordance with USCENTCOM templates.
• Identify and analyze equities in emerging national defense policies and their impacts on USCENTCOM operations.
• Track and analyze specific United States military activities in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.
• Plan and execute Action Officer Working Groups and other meetings, and develop strategic assessments.
• Prepare briefings for conferences or working groups related to USCENTCOM.
• Assist Country Desk Officers in presentations to senior USCENTCOM leaders.
• Develop talking points and read-ahead materials for engagements with various defense offices.
• Provide comprehensive planning and analysis in support of USCENTCOM strategies.

Requirements

• 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 1 year relevant experience with a Master's; or High School Diploma and 7 years relevant experience.
• Experience writing documents for military General/Flag Officer signature.
• Experience briefing military General/Flag Officers and other leadership within the Department of Defense.
• Current TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• A minimum of seven years of practical experience in relevant areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD and experience as a senior level professional on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Working knowledge of the USCENTCOM area of responsibility and the strategic environment.
• Previous experience working within a Combatant Command or Interagency Headquarters.
