About the position

As a Senior Strategist in Social Media & Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the social media strategies that align with our overall communications plan. Your primary responsibility will be to develop core insights that lead to compelling social strategies, write strategic briefs, and drive the necessary research and analytics to inform these briefs. You will collaborate with clients, account teams, creative teams, analytics, and other departments to ensure that business objectives, target audiences, and performance goals are clearly defined and met. Your expertise in social media—encompassing paid, owned, and earned media—will be essential as you develop integrated marketing strategies for omnichannel campaigns. You will create Communications Plans, Channel Strategies, and innovative approaches for large integrated campaigns, focusing on enhancing the Customer Journey. Your role will also involve refining analysis and findings into actionable strategic insights, allowing you to provide thought leadership on effectively leveraging social media to achieve client goals. You will be tasked with answering critical questions for clients, such as how to navigate from their current position to their desired outcomes, while inspiring great work through your strategic vision. On a day-to-day basis, you will conduct strategic analyses, compile and conduct research, and leverage analytics to develop consumer insights. You will craft actionable briefs and strategies, translating brand and product strategies into social media directives. Your ability to create compelling content for presentations and proposals will be crucial in communicating your strategies and insights effectively. Staying abreast of market trends and competitor activities will be part of your routine, ensuring that you can provide informed recommendations to clients. You will also define project goals and KPIs, ensuring that insights are integrated back into programs based on performance analysis. In addition to your strategic responsibilities, you will mentor junior team members, fostering their development in insights distillation, strategy development, and storytelling. Your collaborative spirit will be essential as you work with colleagues across various disciplines, contributing to integrated marketing strategies that prioritize customer engagement. Your role will be dynamic, requiring a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to drive results for our clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a strategist in social marketing and planning.
  • Proven ability to derive insights from data and create actionable social strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience working in an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with social media performance analytics and tools.
  • Experience in social listening, brand perceptions, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to work with various marketing disciplines and teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
