About the position

The Senior Strategy & Business Execution Consultant at Zurich is responsible for supporting Middle Market senior business leaders in the development and execution of strategic initiatives. This role involves identifying opportunities, establishing action plans to improve business outcomes, and executing multiple projects that align with strategic initiatives and operational planning. The consultant will also assist leadership in developing long-term business, financial, and operational plans.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct analysis by collecting data and input from other parts of the organization.
  • Monitor/review business progress relative to operational plans.
  • Assist in valuation and measurement of key projects/initiatives.
  • Identify possible issues/opportunities and assist in developing/scoping solutions.
  • Build data models to support complex analyses.
  • Identify gaps in analysis and additional analysis that should be conducted.
  • Apply industry knowledge to own work and bring knowledge to bear with other analysts.
  • Develop written communications in PowerPoint that convey analyses and insights in a cohesive story.
  • Define data requirements and identify appropriate sources.
  • Propose potential new initiatives or areas for improvement.
  • Gather market information for reporting purposes and disseminate the information to internal audiences.
  • Analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources to identify how different scenarios may impact the business.
  • Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs, or schedules to support achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Strategic and Operational Consulting area.

  • Advanced analytic and Excel skills
  • Insurance industry knowledge with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline
