About the position

The Senior Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of survey reports and tower condition assessments. This position involves making informed recommendations based on site survey data and collaborating with field staff to ensure compliance with FAA and industry standards. The role is fully remote and offers a contract opportunity with a respected government contractor in the engineering and construction services sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth knowledge of FAA and industry standard requirements, codes, and standards.
• Assist in the development of survey reports and make recommendations based on information gathered during site surveys.
• Assist in the preparation of tower condition reports based on data from site surveys.
• Collaborate with field staff and review reports provided by field technicians.
• Revise reports as needed and make engineering recommendations to improve towers.
• Interact with team members in weekly meetings and review field reports for errors.
• Prepare reports for FAA review and address comments from the FAA.
• Perform intradisciplinary checks and sign documents as a PE for final issue.

Requirements

• PE Degreed Structural Engineer from an ABET accredited program with 4+ years of experience after graduation.
• PE Registration is required.
• Tower design experience is required.
