About the position

The Senior Structural Engineer position is a 12-month contract role based in Central London, offering a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on below ground drainage design and involves working independently while also supporting junior engineers. The successful candidate will be part of a growing team within a leading global engineering consultancy, contributing to a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design below ground drainage systems.
• Complete reports such as flood risk assessments and drainage strategy reports.
• Ensure compliance with engineering processes and standards.
• Support junior team members in their development and project tasks.
• Utilize software applications including REVIT, AutoCAD, Civils 2D, and Causeway Flow for project work.

Requirements

• Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience in below ground drainage design.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (MICE) is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, Civils 2D, and Causeway Flow software applications.
