About the position

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of various commercial structures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role requires collaboration with other disciplines to produce high-quality project deliverables while balancing innovative design with constructability and economic considerations.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis to applicable codes for various structures including residential housing, apartments, hotels, condominiums, and hospitals.
• Balance innovative, optimized, and standard designs considering constructability and economics.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and designers on the project to produce project deliverables.
• Prepare quality reports and calculation packages as project deliverables.
• Identify, interpret, and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs.
• Coordinate the design process with the project schedule to ensure timely delivery of design documents.
• Conduct site inspections and condition assessments for existing structures.
• Meet project budgets and deadlines.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in structural engineering.
• Preferred 10-20+ years of experience in the commercial sector.
• Professional Engineering licensure.
• Proficiency in use of Ram Concepts and Ram Structural.
• Ability to lead execution of structural discipline scope on projects.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Good written communication skills.
