We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in either our Dallas, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects as a project manager or the lead engineer for the delivery of large and highly complex projects.
  • Work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients.
  • Lead design efforts for the analysis of structural systems.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
  • Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
  • Provide in-process design reviews of structural system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence.
  • Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring.
  • Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staff.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
  • Lead research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work.
  • Conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
  • Lead project interviews and project presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required.
  • Master’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • 14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.

  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to sell work and develop client relationships.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
