About the position

As a Senior Structural Engineer at ECS Midwest, LLC, you will provide essential consulting services for the built environment. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks including performing pre-construction, during-construction, and post-construction condition assessments. You will also engage in specialized testing and forensic investigations, contributing to a range of facilities-related services. This position requires you to interact closely with senior staff members on various projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are monitored for performance and budgetary conditions. In addition to technical assessments, you will be responsible for client invoicing and managing budget proposals and invoices. Your expertise will be crucial in the preparation of detailed reports and proposals, which will require you to interface with clients regarding project-specific issues and development. You will also attend project site meetings, where you will assist in resolving both technical and administrative problems that may arise during the course of the project. This multifaceted role is designed for an experienced engineer who is ready to take on significant responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services for the built environment, including performing pre-construction, during-construction, and post-construction condition assessments.
  • Conduct specialized testing and forensic investigations related to facilities.
  • Interact with senior staff members on various facilities-related projects.
  • Monitor project processes for performance and budgetary conditions.

Requirements

  • BS or MS from an ABET accredited college/university in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related degree.
  • 10+ years of related experience in structural engineering or a similar field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
