About the position

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for providing expert structural engineering services within a multi-discipline professional services firm. This role focuses on both residential and commercial projects, emphasizing wood design and construction, while also involving concrete, masonry, and steel structures. Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations and detailing for various projects.
• Provide construction support and evaluate existing structures through site visits.
• Prepare detailed structural reports and deliverables for client use and permitting.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Work independently while maintaining a dependable and friendly attitude.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• PE license preferred; SE license is ideal.
• Strong proficiency in residential and commercial wood design and construction.
• Experience with wood design, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Familiarity with post-tensioned concrete and podium design.
• Ability to perform structural calculations and detailing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with masonry and steel structures.
• Strong writing skills for clear and concise report preparation.
