Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of design and analysis in early project phases, including structural methodology and load determination
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for permitting and construction
• Ensure designs meet structural integrity, safety standards, and client requirements
• Collaborate closely with architects, construction managers, and engineers
• Conduct site visits and inspections to address issues and ensure compliance
• Evaluate existing structures, perform necessary testing, and document findings
• Maintain thorough records for future reference and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
• Proficiency in Revit and structural analysis software
• Demonstrated expertise in building frame systems using concrete, steel, masonry, and wood
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan; SE license is a plus
