About the position

The Senior Student Research Analyst at Clemson University plays a crucial role in the Office for Institutional Research, focusing on data and analytics to support strategic planning, enrollment management, and student success initiatives. This position involves conducting advanced statistical studies to inform the design, implementation, and assessment of various student success programs across the university.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and develops information systems to track student academic engagement, performance, retention, and graduation.
  • Designs and conducts statistical research to understand factors impacting retention, graduation, and other measures of student success.
  • Develops and maintains statistical models for student flow and makes projections to support enrollment management and academic planning.
  • Serves as a resource for tracking students in postsecondary education systems and provides data for accountability reporting and benchmarking studies.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Institutional Research or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Doctoral/Professional Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Modeling, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, Python, Tableau, and ACCESS.
