About the position

As a Senior Studio Software Engineer at Roblox, you will play a crucial role in the evolution of Roblox Studio, the primary IDE for creating massive multiplayer online games. This position involves designing and executing the architecture and technical direction of the application, working on core user features, and collaborating with UX designers to enhance the user experience. You will also mentor team members and contribute to building a professional application for game development.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute on the architecture and technical direction for the application.
• Own and deliver complex technical projects from planning through execution.
• Work cross-functionally across teams and technology platforms.
• Mentor team members to improve their professional skills and expertise.
• Design, develop, and implement technological practices, patterns, and strategies.
• Participate in building the world's best professional application for massively multiplayer game development.

Requirements

• 5+ years in developing and deploying user-facing applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• 1+ years of experience with C++ or .NET is a plus.
• Experience with UI frameworks like QT/QML, React, Cocoa, WPF, or others is a plus.
• Proficient with industry standards, best practices, testability, and design patterns.
• Organized and analytical with the ability to track numerous separate threads to their appropriate resolution.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with C++ or .NET.
• Familiarity with UI frameworks like QT/QML, React, Cocoa, WPF, or others.
