About the position

PsiQuantum is on a mission to build the world's first useful quantum computer, capable of delivering transformative results across various industries. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in driving supply chain performance as the company transitions from research and development to production. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in managing suppliers and supply chains within a technology environment, particularly in New Product Introduction, ramping supplier capacity, and developing supply chain processes and programs. Familiarity with cryogenics, electro-optical assemblies, and semiconductor wafer manufacturing is highly desirable. In this role, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for negotiating delivery, pricing, and other contract terms with key technology suppliers. They will oversee and project manage supplier relationships and performance for large-scale, long-term engineering and capital programs. The manager will also be tasked with scaling and maturing a global supply base for cryogenics vacuum chambers and related electro-optical components. Collaboration with engineering and operations teams will be essential to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field, with a Master's in Business Engineering (MBE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) being of value. They should demonstrate strong business acumen in managing trade-offs for technical supplier selections and have a proven track record of successfully ramping up small and/or immature supply chains. Contract negotiation and management experience, along with strong project management and problem-solving skills, are essential for this role. A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in an equivalent role is required, along with experience using ERP (NetSuite) and PLM (Arena) or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate delivery, pricing, and other contract terms with key technology suppliers.
  • Buildup, oversee, and project manage supplier relationships and performance for large scale, long term engineering and capital programs.
  • Scale and mature a global supply base for cryogenics vacuum chambers and related electro-optical components.
  • Develop and enhance supplier selection and on-boarding processes.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to achieve supply chain goals across the organization, meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field; MBE or ME is a plus.
  • Demonstrated business acumen in managing trade-offs for technical supplier selections.
  • Successful ramp up of small and/or immature supply chains.
  • Contract negotiation and management experience.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager or equivalent role.
  • Experience with ERP (NetSuite) and PLM (Arena) or similar systems.
