Responsibilities

  • Lead / participate on cross-functional NPL teams charged to develop and launch new products or services.
  • Participate as an active member on multiple PMO-led cross-functional NPL Core Teams.
  • Coordinate related efforts for Supplier and/or Component material qualification, ramp-up, and initial roll-out necessary to support Product launch timing.
  • Lead GSS sub-tier Teams responsible for supply chain support activities.
  • Resolve sourcing related problems for new programs i.e., pricing, scheduling, Supplier CapEx, lead-time, Logistics.
  • Coordinate with Sourcing Category Managers (CM) for selection of NPL-related component materials and associated Suppliers in alignment with Category Strategies.
  • Support for RFQs/RFPs, related total cost analysis, and negotiated Terms and Conditions.
  • Awareness of Intellectual Property ownership opportunities to retain Tempur Sealy's ability to optimize sourcing while limiting restrictions and constraints.
  • Lead Supplier readiness reviews to ensure suppliers ability to meet Tempur Sealy's requirements.
  • Track and report supplier performance during product launch period.
  • Create and maintain all project review documentation including but not limited to weekly status review with Sourcing and Planning Leadership, including project schedule and cost outlook.
  • Document complexity drivers of New/Unique/Difficult (NUDs) components.
  • Identify items of concern to cost/schedule and associated risk mitigation plans.
  • Advance review of Tollgate presentations with Sourcing Leadership.
  • Identify potential post-launch Value Engineering (VE) opportunities and solicit and present VE ideas from Supplier(s) to optimize Product cost.
  • Develop and maintain a listing of potential VE projects to be transferred to PPC Team upon Product launch.
  • Work with PPC Manager to assign/support VE projects.
  • Work cross functionally to develop best practices and drive early Sourcing involvement within all projects.
  • Support other Project activities (Supply Chain, Special) as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years project management experience in a business environment or 7+ years supply chain experience.
  • Strong math, business analytical, and presentation skills.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize critical activities independently in a fast-paced continuously changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs is required (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project, etc.).
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills required.
  • The ability to handle multiple complex projects at one time.
