About The Position
Under general supervision, operates a motorized street sweeper to clean streets and gutters in designated areas of the City. The position involves safely operating a motorized sweeper and other motorized maintenance/construction equipment on an assigned route, handling service requests, and providing record-keeping documentation. The role also includes training new employees, monitoring street maintenance billing, and assisting in problematic areas as needed. The incumbent will report various issues such as illegally parked vehicles and road damage, perform equipment repairs, and interact with the public to respond to service requests.
