About the position

The Senior System Administrator at BlueHalo will support a mission-critical program in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is designed for problem solvers and innovators who are committed to enhancing national security through advanced IT solutions. The position involves managing IT system infrastructure, troubleshooting, and maintaining various IT systems, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Assist in dispatching system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in system administration support.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, Scripting (Shell, Perl, Bash, Python), Puppet, NIFI, STE/STN tools, LatteArt, and Nessus.
