About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with significant expertise in Linux systems and AWS cloud services to lead our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based systems while leveraging AWS cloud technologies to enhance scalability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux-based servers and systems to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Architect, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environments, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, VPCs, and IAM roles
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks and enhance operational workflows
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization and uptime
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect data and infrastructure in both Linux and AWS environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that meet business requirements
• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in Linux and AWS cloud technologies
• Stay current with industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and make recommendations for system improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience as a Senior System Administrator with a focus on Linux systems and AWS cloud services
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudFormation
• In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and proficiency in shell scripting
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices in cloud environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and project management experience
• Ability to architect and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant systems in both on-premises and cloud environments
